Nachdem Richard Reed Parry im letzten Herbst sein Soloalbum „Quiet River Of Dust Vol. 1“ veröffentlicht hat, ist es nun endlich Zeit für Teil 2: am 21. Juni 2019 veröffentlicht der kanadische Künstler und Multiinstrumentalist, der außerdem Mitglied der Band Arcade Fire ist, „Quiet Rivers Of Dust Vol. 2: That Side Of The River“. Als Vorgeschmack gibt es ein Video zur ersten Single „Long Way Back“ sowie ein tolles 360°-Video zum Song „Lost In The Waves“. Das Video ist in Kooperation mit der neuen Kreativplattform www.4-vu.com entstanden, die innovative Kunst- und Musikperformance-Clips produziert und veröffentlicht.
Zum thematischen Hintergrund des Albums sagt Richard:
“What separates us from dissolving into the experience around us? It’s a feeling I’ve definitely had many times, where the boundaries of self and world are permeable to the point of disorientation. So much of this record is about being this young person in an older people’s world of music and song, this folk music community where the torch is passed, and losing my father at a young age, and being completely disoriented by that. This record, the songs are also referencing that nebulous psychic territory when you lose your most familiar world, when the village of your childhood disappears and you try to relocate yourself in a different one.”
Vom 16. bis 18. August 2019 wird Richard Reed Parry im Planetarium Hamburg live zu sehen sein. Wie in seinem neuen Video werden auch dort filmische 360°-Aufnahmen zur visuellen Unterstützung der Performance zu sehen sein.
