Jeangu Macrooy

1. Please introduce yourself in one sentence.

Hi, I’m Jeangu Macrooy, I’m a 90’s baby, I sing, I write songs, I play guitar, I was born in Suriname and right now I live in Amsterdam.

2. If your music was something to eat, what would it taste like?

First of all: I really like food, so it’s kind of  hard to choose. I think my music would have to be like a warm chocolate fudge brownie with whipped cream on top… and maybe a spicy unexpected addition that would make your eyes water. A secret ingredient!

3. Which film would your music be the perfect soundtrack to?

Well, it totally depends on the story. My music is very diverse; some songs are really happy and others are really sad. Hope is, however, a theme that is in a lot of my songs. So I guess it would have to be a dramatic movie with a happy ending.

4. Do you remember what you did at this point one year ago?

A year ago I was recording my latest album „Horizon“. It was such a fun week of exploring new sounds and bonding with my band and producer (Perquisite). Can’t wait to be in the studio again!

5. Where would you like to be/what would you like to do in one year from now on?

One year from now I want to be closer to realising my dream of performing all over the world. Right now I’m working hard on new music, which is always a very inspiring and intense process. Whatever happens, I hope I’ll be on a stage somewhere in this world.

RONDÉ

1. Please introduce yourself in one sentence.

We are RONDÉ, a pop band from the beautiful lowlands of Holland. (Rikki)

2. If your music was something to eat, what would it taste like?

I’d say it would taste like a really good pasta bolognese. It’s mainstream food, but rare to find the really good ones. (Adriaan)

3. Which film would your music be the perfect soundtrack to?

I hope a big blockbuster, that would be pretty good for business. (Cas)

4. Do you remember what you did at this point one year ago?

We just released our single ‚Calling‘! (Armel)

5. Where would you like to be/what would you like to do in one year from now on?

Let’s say playing Glastonbury while having a song on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. (Sharon)

YĪN YĪN

1. Please introduce yourself in one sentence.

Hello, we are YĪN YĪN.

2. If your music was something to eat, what would it taste like?

Its like asian fusion cuisine, delicious 😉

3. Which film would your music be the perfect soundtrack to?

Probably every single movie by Quentin Tarantino.

4. Do you remember what you did at this point one year ago?

Yes, we played a couple of shows in Germany and the Netherlands and we were preparing to go on tour with Altin Gün.

5. Where would you like to be/what would you like to do in one year from now on?

The same as now, because its the best!
