Amyl and The Sniffers haben nach „Guided By Angels“ die zweite Single aus ihrem neuen Album „Comfort To Me“ veröffentlicht, das am 10.09.2021 erscheint. „Security“ erscheint mit einem Video, in dem Amy Taylor, Frontfrau der australischen Post-Punk Band, wieder einmal eine furiose Performance liefert – sie tanzt sich auf einem Friedhof die Seele aus dem Leib. Der Clip wurde in einer Einstellung gedreht, sowohl Kamera als auch Inszenierung übernahm Regisseur John Angus Stewart, der bereits das Video zu „Guided By Angels“ realisiert hat.
Das kommende Album beschreibt Amy Taylor wie folgt:
“If you have to explain what this record is like, I reckon it’s like watching an episode of The Nanny but the setting is an Australian car show and the Nanny cares about social issues and she’s read a couple of books, and Mr Sheffield is drinking beer in the sun. It’s a Mitsubishi Lancer going slightly over the speed limit in a school zone. It’s realising how good it is to wear track pants in bed. It’s having someone who wants to cook you dinner when you’re really shattered. It’s me shadow-boxing on stage, covered in sweat, instead of sitting quietly in the corner.“
Am 5. Oktober 2021 werden Amyl and The Sniffers eine Performance des gesamten Albums streamen, die ebenfalls in einem Take gefilmt wurde. Tickets dafür kann man im offiziellen Shop der Band erwerben. Dort kann auch das Album in verschiedenen schicken Vinyl-Varianten und Bundles bestellt werden.
